It's one year since we became fully operational. We're now fully up and running and investing.

Here are some of the highlights that show our business model is working:

  • Over £700m committed mobilising a further £2bn in private sector finance
  • 21 projects backed
  • Invested in all our main sectors and in every part of the UK
  • Backed a large scale NHS energy efficiency project, saving the local Trust £20m
  • Invested in 30% of the UK's offshore wind capacity
  • First ever minority refinancing of an offshore wind project
  • Financed Northern Ireland's largest waste wood power plant
  • Supported the listing of the UK's first renewable energy infrastructure fund
  • Financed the UK's first large scale coal to biomass conversion
  • Closed the funding gap for a new high-technology waste plant that had been stuck for 4 years
  • Produced enough renewable electricity to meet energy needs of 2,500,000 homes
  • Cut CO2 emissions equivalent to taking 1,000,000 cars off the road
